I walked into our pub as our regulars smiled and called out hellos. From the moment we opened the doors of our pub to the public it has been popular and busy. Everyone was made to feel welcome. I was finally using my business degree to handle the books, Zen ran the pub and Eran ran the kitchen. The food was amazing. The chef Eran hired, Duncan, created the best fusion cuisine I’d ever had. I rarely ate anything I didn’t like.

Walking around the bar, I lifted up on my tippy toes and kissed Zen. “How are things going tonight, handsome?”

“Busy as normal. How are my two girls behaving for you?” Zen asked as he caressed my very round belly.

“Feisty. I think they believe my bladder is a ball to play some sort of sport with,” I retorted with a roll of my eyes. I was days away from my due date and I felt like a beached whale.

His laugh warmed my heart every time I heard it, making me smile. “Mom sends her love. Tim and Greg were taking her out tonight but she made me swear to remind you to call her the moment anything happens.”

“Absolutely. I’m so glad she has those guys. She simply glows around them.”

“Me too. Where is Eran? The kitchen?”

“Probably. Duncan was in a bit of a mood when he came in,” Zen explained with a roll of his eyes.

I giggled as I gave him another kiss and then headed toward the kitchen to find my other man. Just as I was going to push the door open, I felt a gush of wetness that splashed on the ground. “Shit.” Pushing the door open but not walking into it, I called out, “Eran?”

I tried to smile when I saw his handsome face. “Hi, sweet girl, did you have fun with… fuck, is that what I think it is?”

“If you think my water just broke, I’m going to have to go with, yup, I think so.”

Eran had a goldfish look on his face that made me giggle. The sound of my laughter broke him out of it as he quickly scooped me up into his arms. “Chris, we have a bit of a situation. Emma’s water just broke and I need you to break out our new PPE cleanup kit. Duncan, be nice to the staff tonight, please.” He stepped over the mess and walked towards the bar yelling, “Zen, it’s time.”

“It’s time? Shit, boys, I’m about to be a dad!” The round of cheers and congratulations that followed proved to me once again that I was right where I belonged. I was loved more than I ever thought possible. I smiled as I watched Zen run to us and we headed off to meet our little girls.
